After a cathedral bell ringer passes away, his spot on the bell ringing choir is up for grabs. Nancy believes she is the only real choice to take his spot, but Leanne has other ideas. As the competition heats up, the women find themselves vying for the spot in ways they never thought they would. Rung is a dark comedy about ambition, faith, and desire.

Chris Hanratty is a Toronto-based filmmaker and theater director. His first short film, Family First, screened at Palm Springs ShortFest and was nominated for a 2011 Golden Sheaf Award. He is collaborating with the writer and producer of Rung on the development of his first feature film.
