Virtuosic filmmaker Lesli Linka Glatter is one of the most prolific television directors in the industry, with more than 100 hours of episodic television, seven Emmy nominations and 2 DGA Awards under her belt. Her impressive and innumerable directorial credits include: Twin Peaks, Freaks and Geeks, Gilmore Girls, The West Wing, Mad Men and Homeland, for which she is also an executive producer. To discuss her illustrious career, Lesli will be joined by her Homeland collaborator and esteemed actress Claire Danes, whose versatility and tenacity as a performer has garnered her three Emmy Awards, four Golden Globes and two SAG Awards. These two seminal and intrepid women will discuss their impressive careers and the trails they’ve blazed for women in a profession that continues to be dominated by men.

Lesli Linka Glatter is a director whose work includes Homeland, The Newsroom, Walking Dead, The Leftovers, Ray Donovan, Mad Men, The West Wing, Freaks and Geeks, Twin Peaks, the Gilmore Girls and Pretty Little Liars pilots and the film Now and Then. Lesli has received 7 Emmy nominations, 6 DGA Award nominations, winning twice, and an Oscar nomination. Lesli serves on the Board of the DGA, the Executive Committee of the Directors Branch of AMPAS and is an advisor at the Sundance Directors Lab. Lesli recently received the Dorothy Arzner Directing Award from WIF and the Franklin Schaffner Award from AFI.

Claire Danes

Claire Danes

Award-winning actress and producer, Claire Danes, is a Hollywood heavyweight. She has won back to back Emmy and Golden Globe Awards for her performance as Carrie Mathison on Homeland. She also serves as a co-executive producer on the show. Danes has won both an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Temple Grandin in 2011, and in 1995 she won the Golden Globe for her performance on the television series My So-Called Life. Throughout her career, she’s starred in countless other films and has translated this experience onto the stage which led to her Broadway debut in 2007. Next up on the big screen for Danes is her starring role in the film A Kid Like Jake opposite Jim Parsons.
