Nancy Meyers is a groundbreaking director, writer, and producer, who has created a body of work focusing on the female experience with her exceptionally literate and sophisticated comedies. Meyers' debut screenplay garnered her an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay for the 1981 film Private Benjamin. Meyers made her directorial debut in 1998 with the Disney classic The Parent Trap, and went on to direct such landmark films as What Women Want, Something’s Gotta Give, and It’s Complicated, for which she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Screenplay. Most recently, Meyers produced Home Again, which was written and directed by her daughter, Hallie Meyers-Shyer.
