Michelle Buteau
Michelle Buteau is an actress, comedian, producer and writer. The multihyphenate stars in the Netflix comedy series “Survival Of The Thickest”, which she created and executive produced. Inspired by her autobiographical book of essays of the same name, the series was released in July 2023 and returned for its second season on March 27th, 2025. Buteau received an NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Breakthrough Creative (Television)” for the series.
She recently wrapped production for SPA WEEKEND, in which she stars alongside Isla Fisher, Leslie Mann and Anna Faris. Earlier this year Buteau released her second Netflix comedy special, A BUTEAU-FUL MIND live at Radio City Music Hall, becoming the first woman to tape a special at the iconic venue. Her first Netflix special, WELCOME TO BUTEAUPIA won the Critics Choice Television Award for Best Comedy Special. Most recently, on March 31st, 2025, Michelle announced her third stand-up tour, “Michelle Buteau: The Surviving and Thriving Tour.”
Buteau also stars in the hit comedy BABES, alongside Ilana Glazer and directed by Pamela Adlon. The film premiered to rave reviews at SXSW and released in theaters on May 17, 2024, with Variety praising the “unapologetically raw take on pregnancy and female friendship” and Rolling Stone lauding it the “'Bridesmaids' of babymaking.”
Buteau is known as host of the hit Netflix reality competition show, “The Circle", which released its seventh season in September 2024, as well as the second season of Netflix’s “Barbecue Showdown”. She has also hosted the 2024 Billboard Music Awards and the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party livestream. Buteau’s other film and television highlights include MARRY ME, FIRST WIVES CLUB, ALWAYS BE MY MAYBE, SOMEONE GREAT, “Russian Doll” and “Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens”. She has also appeared in “Key & Peele”, “Broad City”, “Rick and Morty”, and “Zootopia+”.

Lena Dunham
Lena Dunham is the ultimate multi-hyphenate – an award-winning actor, writer, director, producer and philanthropist. This year, she will make her return to television with Netflix romcom series Too Much, which she wrote and directed, starring Megan Stalter and Will Sharpe and co-created with her husband Luis Felber. The series comes from Good Thing Going (GTG) and Universal International Studios’ Working Title Television. GTG was founded in 2018 by Dunham and her producing partner Michael P. Cohen and has a full slate of upcoming projects along with an exclusive first look deal with Netflix.
In 2024, Dunham starred in and produced Treasure, a multi-generational drama about a New York music journalist (Dunham) traveling to Poland with her father (Stephen Fry). In 2022, Dunham directed and wrote the film adaptation of Catherine Called Birdy starring Bella Ramsey and released her first feature film as a writer-director in over a decade: Sharp Stick.
In addition, she produced Generation for HBO Max and directed the first episode of HBO’s Industry. She is best known for creating and starring in HBO’s GIRLS, which earned her eight Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe wins, including Best Actress.
An accomplished writer, Dunham contributes to The New Yorker, Vogue, and The New York Times. Her 2014 memoir, Not That Kind of Girl, was a #1 NY Times bestseller. Dunham made history in 2013 as the first woman to win a DGA Award for Best TV Comedy Director and won an Independent Spirit Award in 2010 for Tiny Furniture, which she also directed and starred in.
