Storytelling on social media platforms has transformed what we consider to be content. Through Youtube, Snapchat and Vine content creators are breaking the mold of traditional storytelling and invigorating audiences as they turn themselves into a personal business. Panelists include Youtube sensation Alphacat, internet filmmaker Casey Neistat, and Michael & Evan Gregory of The Gregory Brothers. Moderated by Maker Studios founder Lisa Donovan.

Iman Crosson is an American actor well known for his online personality. Iman was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio where we was enrolled in a performing arts school at the age 13. At the inception on Youtube, Iman logged on and began building an online presence that grew exponentially once he began uploading his impression of then candidate Barack Obama. Today Iman has a collection audience online of over 4 million people and has met President Barack Obama twice and works with the White House. Pushing into t.v. and film, Iman recently starred in the film “Along the Roadside” alongside Michael Madsen.

The State of the Union Address can become a booty jam and a local news report might be a club hit, through what The New York Times calls “a combination of old-fashioned musical ability, high-tech skills and the do-whatever-you-want spirit of the World Wide Web.” Their YouTube channel, schmoyoho (accent on the “yo”) has over 600 million views.

Casey Neistat
Casey Neistat is a New York-based filmmaker. He is the writer, director, editor, and star of the series The Neistat Brothers on HBO and won the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards John Cassavetes Award as producer for “Daddy Long Legs”. His online films have been viewed over 120,000,000 times in the last 3 years.

Lisa Donovan
Lisa Donovan has been an innovator and pioneer in the online space through her early adoption of the Youtube platform in 2006. Known for her pop culture & political parodies, Lisa's popularity grew enormously attracting millions of views on her videos and LisaNova channel. In 2007 she was cast on MADtv, crossing over into mainstream Hollywood. She was a driving force in creating, expanding, and overseeing Maker Studios, a studio with an original approach to producing, creating and distributing original content.
