TFF 2013 Trailer of the Day: 'Deep Powder'
Does a little white powder have the power to destroy an once-in-a-lifetime love? You betcha.

Starring rising stars Shiloh Fernandez and Haley Bennett, Deep Powder tells a Romeo and Juliet-esque story about a couple who meet, by chance, on the slopes and promptly have their lives turned upside down. Inspired by actual events that occurred in the 1980s, the film follows Danny, a ski-lift operator from the wrong side of the tracks, and Natasha, a rich high school senior on holiday break, who brings him into her less than savory world. Natasha is chosen by her friends at the Deep Powder Alpine Country Club to make their annual drug run to Ecuador for cocaine to sell and use throughout the school year. Natasha takes Danny and, naturally, things do no go smoothly.
Directed and co-written by Mo Ogrodnik, Deep Powder is a romantic drama that portrays the all-consuming power of first love against the backdrop of high-stakes drug trafficking. Needless to say, it’ll keep you on the edge of your seat. Just keep some tissues handy.
