See More TFF 2014 Alumni At Rooftop Films This Summer
If you missed ‘Five Star’ and ‘The One I Love’ at this year’s Festival, you can catch them later this summer up on the rooftops of NYC.
After this week’s successful screening of Justin Weinstein’s and Tyler Measom’s An Honest Liar from TFF 2014, the audience enjoyed drinks and a live magic show by Vinny DePonto. With live music performances, filmmaker Q&As, themed events and outrageous new venues, we can’t wait for the rest of Rooftop Films’ excellent Summer program.
In addition to buzz-worthy indies like Joe Swanberg’s Happy Christmas and David Zellner’s Kumiko The Treasure Hunter, film fans can look forward to two more screenings of great films from this year’s Festival: Five Star and The One I Love.

Growing up in the Walt Whitman Housing Projects was not easy for a gawky teen like John (John Diaz). After a stray bullet killed his father when John was a child, Primo (James ‘Primo’ Grant),a five-star Bloods general and his father’s former business partner, is the only man John can depend on to guide him into adulthood. Ultimately, John and Primo must decide whether the criminal life is for them. Keith Miller and cast members will be present for a Q&A after the screening.

Troubled married couple Ethan (Mark Duplass) and Sophie (Elisabeth Moss) escape to an idyllic country retreat in an attempt to save their marriage on the advice of their therapist (Ted Danson). Soon, they begin to experience mysterious phenomena, and their romantic getaway turns into an entirely different beast all together. Special Sneak Peek screening!
