We’re pleased to announce that Tribeca Film has acquired the North American rights to Hide Your Smiling Faces, a film that stunned audiences at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. Recently recognized as the “Best Film Still Awaiting U.S Distribution” by the National Society of Film Critics Awards, Hide Your Smiling Faces is the acclaimed debut of filmmaker Daniel Patrick Carbone.

Set over the course of one hot summer in rural New Jersey, the film provides a dreamlike depiction of adolescence. Told through the eyes of two brothers—nine-year-old Tommy (Ryan Jones) and fourteen-year-old Eric (Nathan Varnson), the story centers on their struggle to accept and understand the mysterious death of one of Tommy's friends.
