Are You Watching Adam Goldberg’s Videos on Vine? You Should Be.

Adam Goldberg, a well-known character film/tv actor, has worked with such distinguished directors as Steven Spielberg, Tony Scott, and David Fincher, but did you also know he's a social media early adopter extraordinaire? Early on, he established accounts on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and Instagram with numerous loyal followers, so it’s only logical that he would be one of the first actor/filmmakers on Vine.

Vine, in case you’ve been living under a rock, is the new iOS app created by Twitter that allows users to film six looping seconds of video with a stop-action camera. Many are wondering whether this new social medium has a future. One drawback is having such a limited amount of time in which to express an idea or create a story. Also, the number of reported bugs in the app can be discouraging. For example, the feed won’t refresh and the app drains battery power.

But for evidence that these issues can be resolved, devotees and naysayers should look at Adam Goldberg’s Vine videos. His kinetic, disjointed and avant-garde videos display the remarkable possibilities of the medium. Goldberg’s Vine account is packed with these wonderfully weird and utterly watchable clips that regularly feature soap opera-esque sequences with Goldberg, his girlfriend and a transformative blond wig.

If you budding filmmakers are looking for di-Vine inspiration, Adam Goldberg is your sensei.
