In case you missed it at this year’s Festival, David Rosenthal’s backwoods noir hits theaters in New York City and across the country this weekend.

‘A Single Shot’ Starring Sam Rockwell Opens in NYC

Starring Sam Rockwell, Jeffrey Wright, William H. Macy and Kelly Reilly, A Single Shot captivated audiences at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. Set in West Virginia, the film follows John Moon (Rockwell), a hunter who accidentally shoots and kills a young woman hiding in the woods. Near her body, he discovers a large amount of money at a time when he is desperate for cash.  On impulse, he takes the loot and hides the corpse, not thinking of the consequences or of who might come looking for the money.

If you’re in the mood for a white-knuckle thriller, A Single Shot opens in New York City at the Empire 25 in Times Square this Friday. Not in NYC? Here’s a list of select theaters across the country where you can also catch A Single Shot starting Friday.
