Perhaps even more anticipated than the film itself is the soundtrack to David Fincher's adaptation of Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl. Crafted by Atticus Ross and former Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, the album is now streaming in its entirety on NPR.

Reznor and Ross first worked with Fincher for the soundtrack toThe Social Network, kicking off an incredibly successful professional partnership - see also Trent Reznor's collaboration with Karen O on a cover of Led Zepplin's Immigrant Song for Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. So as not to mess with a formula that clearly works, the pair collaborate again for Fincher's Gone Girl to create a dreamy, ambient score that fits well with the film's mysterious narrative.

Give the soundtrack a listen on NPR's website!
