Rob Meyer’s youth comedy about a grieving teen birder who thinks he’s spotted an extinct species is coming to theaters and on demand March 21st.

A heartwarming comedy about a passionate birder who believes he’s made the discovery of a lifetime, Rob Meyer’s feature debut, A Birder’s Guide to Everything made its premiere at TFF 2013. For 15-year-old David Portnoy (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road), birding is the remaining connection he has to the memories of his dead mother. On the eve of his father’s wedding, David spots what may be an extinct duck species. Teaming up with the two other members of the Young Birders Society and their stubborn classmate Ellen (Katie Chang, The Bling Ring), David and his friends escape on a road trip for a chance to make history.
Written by Rob Meyer and Academy-Award winner Luke Mattheny with performances by James Legros and Ben Kingsley, A Birder’s Guide to Everything is a coming-of-age tale about friendship, family and following our passions. Look for it in theaters and on demand March 21st.
