This Weekend's Indies: 'Philomena', 'Is the Man Who is Tall Happy?', and 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein'

Is the Man Who is Tall Happy?Michel Gondry, who brought us such cult classics as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep, directed and animated this conversation with linguist/theorist/philosopher Noam Chomsky. Chomsky asks and answers questions about happiness and fulfillment as Gondry's charming animations illustrate his theories.

Philomena: Judi Dench is already gaining Oscar buzz for her role as Philomena, an aging woman looking for the son she was forced to give up years ago. Directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen), Philomena asks what happens when the impossible is within reach.  Gori Tere Pyaar Mein: If you are a modern Bollywood fan, you've likely seen I Hate Luv Stories, the 2010 film from Punit Malhotra. In his latest film, Imran Khan once again plays the lead, a selfish man who falls in love with a selfless beauty (Kareena Kapoor). Hilarious antics ensue as he attempts to become the man she wants.
