Tribeca Cinemas Celebrates Valentine’s Day With Clarence and Alabama
“You’re so cool.” Spend the most romantic day of the year watching ‘True Romance’ with your pals down at Tribeca Cinemas

Can’t find a theater near you that’s playing a Sonny Chiba triple feature? Well, we’ve got a romantic alternative for you. While Valentine’s Day is traditionally about butterflies in your stomach, big romantic gestures, and heartfelt admissions, Tribeca Cinemas is taking the somewhat unorthodox step of screening a passionate love story—True Romance—that contains all those things but with a spectacularly violent edge. Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette star as lawless lovers Clarence and Alabama in this blood-soaked tale full of action, sex, revenge, ferocity, drugs, but above all things, love.Simply put, this is a film that we love almost as much as the main characters love each other. Directed by Tony Scott (from Quentin Tarantino’s first screenplay), the film also boasts a star-studded cast that includes the like of Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Samuel L. Jackson, Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, James Gandolfini, and Christopher Walken. If you have not seen this classic on the big screen, this Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity.
The fun kicks off on February 14 in The Varick Room at 7:30 with a 1 hour complimentary open vodka bar courtesy of VDKA 6100 before the 8:30PM screening. Tickets are now available online so act fast before the perfect Valentine’s Day activity slips through your fingers.
