This Weekend's Indies: 'Calvary' & 'Palo Alto' Available on iTunes This Week!
Opening this weekend: A priest with a death sentence struggling to do good; a old favorite from TFF 2014 now on iTunes.
Calvary: John Michael McDonagh's second feature film Calvary tells the story of the good natured Father James (Brendan Gleeson), an Irish priest who confronts his future murderer during confession. He is told that he will be killed, but is allowed to get his affairs in order before his imminent death. As Father James attempts to appease his town's members, as well as his daughter (Kelly Reilly), he realizes what dark and sinister forces surround him.
Palo Alto: Because This Weekend's Indies is a little short this week, we've decided to do a little shout-out to Gia Coppola's Palo Alto that's opening exclusively on iTunes this week! So if you didn't get a chance to catch it in theatres, or thought it was so darn good you need to own the movie, you can now buy it for just $12.99. Check out this coming-of-age story, if you haven't already, starring Emma Roberts, James Franco, and Val Kilmer.
